Loaning money, cosigning contracts

Deuteronomy 28:12 The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none.
If you usually have a bit of change in your pocket, someone will notice, and want it. You will likely be asked to loan someone money.

I. You may help those in need without charging interest.
II. You may ask for a pledge, security of something of value.
III. Loaning to family members and friends becomes difficult.
A. Provide for your family (don’t spoil them)
B. Do not help and support foolish behavior. (enable)
C. Do not feed those who will not work. II Thessalonians 3:10
IV. Never cosign a loan.
A. Their ‘ask’ means they did not met the qualifications from another source.
B. They may need to change their wish to what they can afford.
V. Consider starting a Roth IRA for a family member.
