M John Wesley is known as a theologian, but he also had wise financial council. That should not surprise us, as Scripture is full of sound advice on money and possessions; and Wesley knew Scripture.

V 250 years ago he said ‘Earn all you can, give all you can, save all you can.’

That plan means you are productive, have peace of mind for tomorrow, have the richness of generosity, and contentment that money can’t buy.  It’s good to remember that blessing at the end of a wearying day at work.

M God created us to work, subdue the earth.  No wonder a job well done is satisfying.
