M A one path career is a myth.  Company ‘loyalty’ rarely exists anymore.  The speed of technology changes, robots, artificial intelligence.   Careers careen and the unexpected change is to be expected. 

V Changing careers is more positive if you are pursuing a passion.  You make the switch knowing and being prepared for a change in income. One woman created her own lemonade brand.   A high-level information technologist discovered ways to teach, other than the typical class room.  No longer being employed as an IT specialist, he found satisfaction and flexibility in his new career.

M Being retired, I was free to start the not for profit, Widow Connection.  Change gives choices.  Different can be positive.
