Thanksgiving Day

I’m Miriam Neff and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan with Wise Women Managing Money.

M Today is a day of Thanksgiving, not a day to focus on money.  You may be with family, friends, or alone.  While relationships and good food may be our focus, let’s not forget that giving thanks is top priority.

V Abraham Lincoln proclaiming this day a holiday, spoke of material blessings. He said the needful diversions of wealth and of strength from the fields of peaceful industry to the national defense have not arrested the plow, the shuttle, or the ship; the ax has enlarged the borders of our settlements, and the mines, as well of iron and coal as of the precious metals, have yielded even more abundantly than heretofore.

M This is still true for us.  Give thanks for work, productivity, blessings indeed.
