Hoarding - Reasonable Accumulation 1

I’m Miriam Neff and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan with Wise Women Managing Money.

M Money itself is not the root of evil; loving it is.  People don’t love bills and gold bars.  They love the stuff it buys, living spaces, comfort, community status, what it provides.  Contrast that God gives us all things to enjoy.  Paul’s letter urges Timothy to hope in God, who richly provides everything for our enjoyment.  1 Timothy 6:17

V How do we discern hoarding from reasonable accumulation?   Hoarding is self-centered and excessive.  Reasonable accumulation includes wise investment, enabling us to be generous.  We can help those in need.  We can provide opportunities, educational, kingdom work to advance the gospel, enriching travel because God has abundantly blessed us.

M Thank God for his provision, enjoy, and share.
