M The transfer of large sums of money will be the greatest the next two decades from any time in history.  Whether through wills and trusts or retirement payouts, people will be making important decisions regarding that money.

V Most have little training or experience to prepare them for wise choices.  Sadly, we see many athletes who’ve made great incomes in professional arenas, but are poor in later life.  Our first recommendation is to pause.  Don’t buy or gift or hire a friend as a close advisor.   Learn.  Gather a team.  Listen and compare. Consider a certified financial planner, a wills and trust attorney, maybe even a counselor.
