Financial Accountability

I’m Miriam Neff and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan with Wise Women Managing Money.

M Enemy of financial accountability number one; bad habits.  ‘I’ve always had that.  It’s a part of my budget.’  When I became single after my husband’s exit to heaven, my available income dropped.  I always got a drive through coffee on my way to work. Average $4, sometimes a donut. Painted nails and toes in summer.  All small things, but habit. Why change?

V Because the budget won’t balance.  I watched you, Mom, become content without some of habit expenses in your life before.  We’re not saying no coffee or beautiful nails, just be sure to cover the essentials and then decide what is really essential.
