M Sadly there is a new online scam on the rise. Online romance.  Impersonators create themselves, their job, their interests, even military or charity work.  They want one-on-one interaction not on a dating site.  Yes, they send even cards and gifts.

V After becoming your ‘friend’, they have a financial emergency and you are the only one who cares enough to help them.  Sadly, these scams even happen in person, not only online.  Protection from vulnerability begins by connecting to people you know and who have your best interests at heart.

M Loneliness might be real, but romantic scams are worse than loneliness. You’ll be lonely and broke.  God is our constant companion.
