Counting the costs

I’m Miriam Neff,  and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, with Wise Women Managing Money

M Wisely managing all we own often requires change.  One of the most important concepts in Scripture is in Luke 14.  Count the cost of what you plan to do.  The example is building a tower.  Today, for us, it’s building a sustainable budget.

V In the tower example the point is don’t start what you can’t finish.  A poor foundation  only ends in embarrassment.  Accumulating debt that you can’t pay is not a plan.  Scripture also says, do not owe any person anything but love.

M Owning the biblical perspective gives us the power of our conviction to change our behavior.  I need that to pass the expensive coffee stop.  A small step, but a start in the right direction.
