M Christians disagree on many things. Following Scripture, all Scripture is a blueprint for agreement on the essentials. We’ll tackle a subject today where disagreement is possible. Prenuptial arrangements are an agreement between two people that is created before they are married.
V This may be advisable when there are assets of worth held by either before marriage. This agreement can safeguard both parties and should be done respectfully. With the likely hood of both women and men being employed prior to marriage, possibly remarriage, perhaps having 401(k)s or IRA Roths, and other assets that need to be protected for the owner, prenuptial agreements can be wise. Ownership of property and debt should be included.
M Rather than being a vote against the marriage lasting, this is good stewardship.
