Face The Facts

I’m Miriam Neff, and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, with Wise Women Managing Money.

M Life changes shake our finances.  Job or health upheavals, money shrinks.  Adjusting is not easy but necessary.  I’ve learned in our widows ministry that financial challenges top a widows list of concerns. Divorce is similar.  Valerie, your thoughts.

V To put it bluntly, we must face the facts.  Painful at first, but then it’s a relief.  What is your real income today?  Are there increased demands on what you have?  It’s easy in a crisis to go into denial and keep spending like in the past.  Not only does that postpone the pain, the problem grows.

M We know God knows every circumstance in our lives.  He wants to shoulder the challenge with us.
