M Widows needing legal advice often feel uninformed on legal matters.  Result, they are vulnerable.  Sadly, I know of a lawyer who was asking a widow inappropriate questions about her life-style entirely inappropriate to the matter at hand.

V It’s not necessarily a solution to bring your best friend to the meeting, but you need a wise advocate who has your back.  Sources to see how lawyers are rated are the state bar association.  You want one experienced in the area of your need.  If you have a complex matter, get a lawyer who specializes in the area you need will do the best job for you, and probably more efficiently resulting in a fair price.
