29 The Light Of God’s Word

M Our favorite book on money after the Bible is The Word on Finances by Larry Burkett.

V I love this book as he topically organizes the verses about money in the Bible and then gives an overview of that topic. Like credit, work, saving, giving and more.

Why is this book timeless? It simply states what God says about money.  Psalm 119:105, Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.  The first two sections are important:  Right attitudes and Wrong attitudes.  Those guide our actions. We begin with embracing God’s wisdom on money.

M More important than asking God for money answers is asking Him for wisdom, and what He wants done with his money.
