One Financial Temptation

I’m Miriam Neff with Wise Women Managing Money, and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan.

V A common financial temptation is to believe all would be easier with more income.  Surprise!  Many lottery winners experience devastation in their families and friendships and are back to where they were before that sudden windfall.  Some wish they’d torn up the ticket.

M Athletes who’ve made lots of money find it goes away in unexpected places.  New ‘friends’ expected glitzy spending, an unwise money management.  Earning more can be a blessing, especially overseeing that blessing, being generous, providing for our families and those in need.

V Reject the fallacy that more money brings more contentment. God is the source of contentment, not money. He blesses us so we can bless others. That’s contentment.  Be wise, honor Him.
