M Christ followers with great wealth have temptations.  Every Christ follower does.  What is the impact of riches? 

V First, it’s all God’s loaned to us to steward.  The rich farmer in Luke 12 accumulated more grain than his barns would hold.  He decided to build bigger barns and hoard the grain for himself for years of eating, drinking and being merry.

In Genesis 41, Joseph predicted a drought.  In service to Pharaoh, he collected food when there was abundance, but saved it to feed the people during famine.

M Big difference.  Farmer fool, rich for himself.  Joseph, full storehouses for the people, at God’s direction.  What is your purpose for riches entrusted to you?  That’s the defining question.
