V Some scammers pose as IRS agents saying pay up immediately. A lawsuit is being filed against you. You can read more about this scam directly on the FTC.gov website under the ‘IRS Telephone Scam’ section. Some common scam themes are: ‘hurry and make his payment’, they leave you little time to verify. They don’t advise checking with outside sources, and they are pushy, forceful, even threatening.
M Hangup, check with the FTC or your State’s Attorney General’s office. These are good ways to combat fraud. Remember, you are a steward of God’s generosity.
