23 Update Important Docs 1

M When you go through major life changes, you need to review important documents and assess needed change.  For example, if your spouse dies or you get a divorce, you will likely need to update your will and trust.  Update any beneficiaries on any bank accounts, retirement or brokerage accounts, unless the divorce decree says otherwise. 

V Don’t forget reviewing who you have named on documents saying who controls matters if you are still alive but incapacitated; such as your Power of Attorney for Healthcare, and also for property. If you name no one, the court and state will decide.
