M Life’s changes often mean getting a financial advisor. Interviewing them to know what services they offer, the amount of funds required to be a client, and their fee structure.
V What products do they offer, and at what fee? Do a background check based on what type of advisor they are. At the website letsmakeaplan.org, you can get confirmation on whether they have the CFP, the Certified Financial Planner designation. If they’re a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), you can get information at Investor.gov. With that site, you can also check a company and advisor firm by looking at their Form ADV and Part 2 brochures.
