M You recently bundled the stacks of credit card offers for your 3, 20-something sons.  What were some of the ‘too good to be true’ offers?

 

V One motto was, ‘For college, for life!’  Huh?  Charging during college years means more drowning in debt ahead; good job, ok job, or no job.  Not a benefit. The college degree is a lifetime benefit, that new credit card is not.

 

Free flight miles; those are usually hard to use, available in off-windows, and big numbers for desirable places.  Cheap air fare websites have airlines competing for your purchase, and no high interest rates that mount every month. 

 

M It’s never too early to show children by example the benefits of no debt.
