Work

I’m Miriam Neff and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan with Wise Women Managing Money.

M God directs us to work.  In the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve were told to ‘subdue the earth.’  That means work.  Old Testament and New, don’t be idle. II Thessalonians 3 verse 12 says earn your own living, quietly. 

V Why do we need continual reminders of this?  Human nature can become lazy, make excuses, and avoid personal responsibility.  

We are not admonished to become rich, though work might result in that.  We are told to provide for our families.  Modest is fine.  Hard times do come to some.  Another benefit of working and saving means we can give a helping hand to those in need.
